Show/hide menu
Tap the Menu icon button to show or hide the menu. The selections from the menu are described here
Color controls
The color controls allow the user to reduce the number of colors used in the Mosaic. Reducing the number of colors can be useful when planning a project based on the mosaic. This might be an actual tile mosaic, a bead project, a pattern on a sweater or quilt, or any other number of possibilities. Below is a description of the controls.
Alternate tile shape controls
These controls are the same as those found on the Original tab. The controls are duplicated here as a convenience. If you are using Design Mosaic, these controls will not appear. Tap here for help

Color count controls

Annotated mosaic tab color count controls
Show/hide
Sometimes the color controls can overlap a portion of the Mosaic. The show/hide button can be used to minimize this overlap.
Limit colors
When ColorHints Mosaic creates a mosaic, the mosaic can have as many colors as there are tiles in the mosaic. As many as 40,000 colors! While this can make an attractive mosaic, there are times that few colors are required. The Limit colors button will cause ColorHints Mosaic to limit the colors shown in the Mosaic to 150 or less.
There are circumstances when the Mosaic will contain fewer than 150 colors. For example, a 6x6 mosaic can never have more than 36 colors. When this happens, ColorHints Mosaic will automatically enable Limit colors.
When using Design Mosaic, Limit Colors is automatically enabled and cannot be disabled.
Number of colors
This displays the number of colors currently shown in the mosaic. If Limit colors is not on, then Unlimited is displayed.
Color count controls
There are 3 ways to change the number of colors used in the mosaic
  1. Use the slider
  2. Use the + and - buttons to add or subtract one color
  3. Use a pinch gesture - this is like using the slider
