- Color controls
- The color controls allow the user to reduce the number of colors used in the Mosaic. Reducing the number of colors can be useful when planning a project based on the mosaic. This might be an actual tile mosaic, a bead project, a pattern on a sweater or quilt, or any other number of possibilities. Below is a description of the controls.
- Alternate tile shape controls

- Limit colors
- When ColorHints Mosaic creates a mosaic, the mosaic can have as many colors as there are tiles in the mosaic. As many as 40,000 colors! While this can make an attractive mosaic, there are times that few colors are required. The
Limit colors button will cause ColorHints Mosaic to limit the colors shown in the Mosaic to 150 or less. - There are circumstances when the Mosaic will contain fewer than 150 colors. For example, a 6x6 mosaic can never have more than 36 colors. When this happens, ColorHints Mosaic will automatically enable
Limit colors .
When using Design Mosaic,Limit Colors is automatically enabled and cannot be disabled. - Number of colors
